The Outer Barks is celebrating its 14th year as the premier dog (and kitty) store on the Outer Banks. We have renovated the store and our selection of treats, toys and gifts have never been better. The Outer Barks is located in the Scarborough Lane Shoppes - 1171 Duck Rd., Duck, NC (we are in the same center as Fishbones restaurant).

We feature gifts in over 200 breeds plus items for loveable mutts and cats! We offer the best selection of treats on the beach!! Choose from a delicious selection of our own wheat-free, corn-free treats to a large variety of unique treats you can't find elsewhere (all our treats are made in the USA). We also offer a wide selection of beautiful and funky collars and leashes, fun toys for the beach or home, a beautiful selection of jewelry for all dog lovers, essential supplies, and art that will make any tail wag!

The Outer Barks is home of the popular Yappy Hour! Once a week, between Easter and Thanksgiving, the Outer Barks hosts a party for all canine friends. The parties feature frozen doggie daiquiris, puppy pasta, cake and other delicious treats, as well as an agility course, paw painting and baby pools. We are having Yappy Hours this Summer on Wednesday, 4:30 - 5:30pm.
